What’s Up at SFOSW The demand for additional uniform items by the Flight Attendants has made us rethink our commitment to this project. We have had a fairly high attrition of new Flight Attendants here at SFOSW (Virgin America lured a lot of them away) so we had a real variety of goods including purses and coats. Our local SFOSW office has been very supportive of CAUSE and has made some space available for storage. Hopefully we will continue to get donations of “gently” worn uniform items from the line flight attendants and from those who have or are retiring so uniform pieces can continue to be available to others. There is a box in the domicile for donations. We have had to change some of our Policies and Procedures regarding grants. Like other non-profits, CAUSE has had to tighten our belts, this translates to grants being reduced and some parameters changed. All the CAUSE committees are volunteers, we are hopeful that we will get more enrollments in the future and we are pursuing matching grants from other sources as well.
