"CAUSE for Dinner" Chicago style

Event will be held at the European Crystal

Things have been pretty quiet these past few months in Chicago, but this will soon change as we begin preparing for our annual dinner/dance. This year’s event will be held on April 16, 2005, at the European Crystal Banquet and Conference Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois. In the months ahead we will be providing you with further information about the event, but, for now, we are simply asking for your help! We have many areas in which everyone can participate, and they include: raffle prize and silent auction donations, ticket sales and promotion of the event, helping with decorations and invitations, and advertising.

This is really a fun evening, and now is the time to start getting a table together. Please remember that this is not just an airline event, and it’s a perfect time to get your neighbors and relatives together for a fun night of dinner and dancing. This past fiscal year, the Chicago chapter of CAUSE distributed over $100,000 in grants to flight attendants in need but we only generated $83,000 in donations through payroll deduction! While this is our primary source of revenue, only 26% of Chicago flight attendants are currently participating and, until we can raise that percentage, events such as our dinner/dance will help provide the additional funding that is so badly needed. If you are presently unable to help us financially by donating $2-$4 on a monthly basis through payroll deduction, please know that your time and energy are also greatly appreciated! Remember, you could be the one who needs our help in the future, and we want to be there for you!
